The series is inspired by the Renaissance chiaroscuro painting and pays homage to the experimental photography of André Kertész and László Moholy-Nagy in the 1920s and 30s. The photographic shadow painting is not supposed to model spatiality and three-dimensionality, as originally intended, but to hide, reduce and accentuate or transform into the graphic. The series was started in 2019 as the final project of the Masterclass in Art Photography with photographs from Vienna and is constantly being expanded to include images also from other cities.
